DDoS protection: facts
What every server includes, the larger tiers and their prices.
In short
Every ClientVPS server includes protection against DDoS attacks up to 200 Gbps. Larger protection can be chosen at checkout and is billed monthly with the server: 1 Tbps $20.00/month, 1.5 Tbps $35.00/month and 2 Tbps $40.00/month.

Key facts
| Capacity | Price |
|---|---|

| 1 Tbps | $20.00/month |
| 1.5 Tbps | $35.00/month |
| 2 Tbps | $40.00/month |
What DDoS protection does
A DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) attack floods a server with traffic so that it cannot answer real visitors. Protection filters the attack traffic before it reaches the server, up to the capacity of the tier.
What it does not mean
- Not protection against everything: it stops network floods up to the tier's capacity, not break-ins through vulnerable software or weak passwords.
- Not a licence to attack: sending denial-of-service attacks from a server is forbidden (Terms of Service, section 7).
Not to be confused with
- Gbps and Tbps here
- The size of attack the protection absorbs, not the speed of your server's port.
Questions
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, up to 200 Gbps on every server, at no extra charge.
Is larger protection discounted on yearly billing?
No. The quarterly and yearly discounts apply to the plan, not to add-ons such as larger DDoS protection.
