High-Load VPS with Dedicated vCPU
A high-load VPS reserves its processor cores for you. On our dedicated-vCPU plans no other server competes for your CPU time, so your server keeps its speed under constant load: busy shops, databases, game servers and APIs.
High-Load VPS with Dedicated vCPU at a glance

Shared or dedicated vCPU: what changes
On a standard VPS the processor cores of the host are shared fairly between the servers on it. That suits most websites, because few of them need the full processor all the time.
When a server works hard all day, it waits for CPU time while its neighbours use theirs. In Linux tools this shows as steal time, and the server feels slower at busy hours.
A dedicated vCPU is a processor core reserved for your server alone, so its speed stays the same whatever else runs on the host. If you need a whole machine to yourself, see our dedicated servers.

Shared vCPU compared with dedicated vCPU
Both are KVM servers with NVMe storage. The processor is what differs.
| Shared vCPU | Dedicated vCPU | |
|---|---|---|
| Processor time | Shared fairly with other servers | Reserved for your server |
| Speed under constant load | Can vary when the host is busy | Steady |
| Best for | Websites, development, VPNs | Databases, shops, game servers, APIs |
| Price | Lower | Higher, for reserved cores |
What a dedicated-vCPU server gives you
Steady performance
Your cores are not shared, so response times stay the same at peak hours.
AMD EPYC processors
Server processors built for many cores and constant work.
NVMe storage
Fast disks to match the processor, for databases and busy applications.
DDoS protection
Protection up to 200 Gbps is included; larger tiers can be added at checkout.
Room to grow
From 2 to 48 dedicated cores, so you can pick the size your load needs.
Who needs a high-load VPS
Busy online shops
Stores that must stay fast during sales and at peak hours.
Databases
Database servers that answer queries all day long.
Game servers
Servers whose tick rate must not drop when they are full.
APIs and workers
Back ends, queues and job workers that process requests without pause.
When you do not need dedicated vCPUs
A small site or a test server
Most websites and test servers run well on our standard plans, for much less.

For all of a server's hardware, choose a dedicated server.

What is a dedicated vCPU?
A processor core reserved for your virtual server. No other server on the host uses it, so its speed does not depend on its neighbours.
How do I know if I need one?
If your server is slow at busy hours, or tools such as top show high steal time (st), your processes are waiting for shared CPU time. Dedicated cores fix that.
How is it different from a dedicated server?
A dedicated-vCPU VPS reserves cores for you on a shared host and is set up in minutes. A dedicated server gives you the whole physical machine.
Where are the dedicated-vCPU plans?
In Germany, Finland, the USA and Singapore. You choose the location on the order page.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. Protection up to 200 Gbps is included with every server, and larger tiers can be chosen at checkout.
