Linux VPS Hosting
A Linux VPS is a virtual server you run from the command line: your own KVM virtual machine, full root access and the distribution you choose. Pick Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux or Fedora when you order, and reinstall another one later from your client area.

What you get with a Linux VPS
Your VPS is a KVM virtual machine with its own kernel, memory and disk. You log in as root over SSH and install what your project needs: a web server, a database, Docker, a VPN or your own application.
You choose the distribution when you order and can reinstall the server with another one later from your client area. If you lock yourself out of SSH, the web console in the client area shows the server's screen in your browser.
These plans are self-managed: you decide what runs on the server and when it is updated. If you would rather have us look after the server, see our managed VPS.

Which Linux distribution should you choose?
A short guide to the differences. When in doubt, Ubuntu LTS has the most guides and software packages.
| System | Best for | Releases and support | Updates and packages |
|---|---|---|---|
| Most users and modern app stacks | LTS every two years, five years of updates | apt | |
| Stable, long-running servers | New stable release about every two years | apt | |
| cPanel and RHEL-certified software | Follows RHEL, about ten years per version | dnf | |
| Former CentOS users and enterprise apps | Follows RHEL, about ten years per version | dnf | |
| Developers who want the newest software | New release every six months, about 13 months of support | dnf |
Why run your project on a Linux VPS
Full root access
Install packages, change any setting and run services on any port. No control panel stands between you and the system.
Your own kernel
KVM gives the VPS a real kernel of its own, so Docker, WireGuard and custom firewall rules work as they do on a physical server.
Clear resources
Memory and disk space are your plan's. Processor cores are shared fairly on standard plans and reserved on dedicated-vCPU plans.
Reinstall in minutes
Start again with a clean system, or switch to another distribution, from your client area.
Pay with crypto
Pay each invoice through ArionPay or Plisio, or top up your balance with crypto and pay from it. Signing up needs only an email address.
Who a Linux VPS suits
Websites and APIs
Nginx or Apache with PHP, Node.js, Python or Go, and the database next to it.
Developers
A server for Git, test environments, build jobs and staging copies of your projects.
VPN and networking
WireGuard or OpenVPN for a team, proxies and network tools, with a 1 Gbps port.
Self-hosted apps
Nextcloud, monitoring, chat servers and other software you prefer to run yourself.
When a Linux VPS is not the right choice
You need Windows software
Programs made for Windows, or a remote Windows desktop, need Windows Server.
See Windows VPS HostingYou do not want to run a server yourself
On these plans you install updates and software yourself. A managed VPS leaves that to us.

Which Linux distributions can I install?
Current releases of Ubuntu LTS, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Fedora. You choose one when you order; the order page lists the exact versions each plan offers.
Can I change the distribution later?
Yes. Reinstall the server with another distribution from your client area. A reinstall erases the disk, so back up your data first.
Do I get root access?
Yes: full root access over SSH, with a password or your SSH key. The web console in the client area also works when SSH does not.
Is the server managed for me?
No. These plans are self-managed: you install updates and software yourself. Our managed VPS is for customers who want us to look after the server.
How do I pay for a Linux VPS?
With cryptocurrency through ArionPay or Plisio, or from your account balance, which you top up with crypto.
Start your Linux VPS
Pick a plan and a distribution. Your server is set up automatically after payment, usually within minutes.
