What a dedicated server is

A dedicated server is a physical machine for one customer: no one else shares its processor, memory or disks, and there is no hypervisor between you and the hardware.

Some configurations are set up automatically after payment. Others are built by our team, which takes longer; each location page shows the expected delivery time.

What it does not mean

Not a VPS: you get the whole machine, not a virtual share of it.
Not refundable: a dedicated server is not refunded once ordered (Terms of Service, section 5).

Not to be confused with

Dedicated vCPU: A VPS whose processor cores are reserved for it. It is still a virtual machine; a dedicated server is a whole physical machine.

Questions

Can I get a 10 Gbps port on a dedicated server?

Yes. A 10 Gbps uplink is an option on the dedicated order page for $49.00 a month.

Can I run Windows Server on a dedicated server?

In Finland, Germany and the USA as a free evaluation install, and in the Netherlands with a licence for $25.00 a month. Windows is not offered on dedicated servers elsewhere.

Are dedicated servers refundable?

No. Section 5 of the Terms of Service excludes dedicated servers from refunds.
