Allowance and unmetered
A traffic allowance is the amount of data included in the plan's price each month, counted in terabytes (TB). The plan cards and the order page show it for every plan.
Unmetered means the data the server moves is not counted towards a monthly cap and not charged per gigabyte. The speed is still limited by the 1 Gbps port, and the Terms of Service still apply.
What it does not mean
- Unmetered is not unlimited speed: the port is 1 Gbps.
- Unmetered is not a licence for abuse: attacks, spam and the other uses listed in section 7 of the Terms of Service are not allowed.
- Cloud VPS plans are not unmetered: each has a monthly allowance.
Not to be confused with
- "Bandwidth"
- Often used for both speed and monthly data. On ClientVPS pages, port speed is the speed (Gbps) and traffic is the monthly amount (TB).
- "Unlimited"
- Some offshore plans say "Unlimited" traffic. It means the same as unmetered here: no monthly cap and no charge per gigabyte, not unlimited speed.

Contact our team before you reach the allowance. If you move a lot of data every month, a larger plan or an offshore plan with unmetered traffic may suit you better.
