Below you'll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about applying for undergraduate study.
MQvScan is an intelligent security solution for your website that goes far beyond your average website scanning utility. MQvScan scans your website for malware, XSS vulnerabilities and Trojan horses; and checks your website for issues with website code, server settings, mail spam, domain reputation and much more. Click the Features tab above to learn more.
MQvScan is entirely agentless - no software needs to be installed on your server. Simply enter your website address and MQvScan does the rest. After the scan is completed, it returns an in-depth report of its findings and will highlight any areas of concern for your attention. To learn more, click the Features tab above.
MQvScan is entirely agentless and therefore can only warn you where it detected malware and what file(s) you need to check.
In the event malware is detected, other files not mentioned may also be infected on your server (e.g. PHP scripts hosted in a restricted access area), so we strongly advise you perform a full website/server scan.
MQvScan can detect WordPress, Joomla and vBulletin installations (with more coming). As a result, we can curate the types of checks we perform based on the software you have running on your website. For example, we may tailour our scanning engine at various points in time as new vulnerabilities are found by the online community.
As part of the scanning process, MQvScan performs a check on the open ports to better determine what services are running on your server.
This activity may trigger your server firewall if it is configured strictly. You can either whitelist our server IP address or, if you prefer, you can disable this part of the scan before it begins.
The security and performance data we collect will always be treated as your private information. We will only use the information we collect from your scan to make MQvScan better for everyone. For example, if our system detects a new strand of malware, we will add this to our malware definitions so we can protect other customers. Our security team may also analyse scans to improve our scanning algorithm.
