Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to every service ClientVPS provides, including virtual private servers (VPS), dedicated servers, web hosting and domain names. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. "We", "us" and "ClientVPS" mean ClientVPS; "you" means the person or organisation that holds the account.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or your parent or legal guardian must hold the account for you.
- You only need a valid email address to sign up. We do not ask for identity documents. Keep your email address working: invoices, reminders and notices about your services are sent there.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and for keeping your password and two-factor authentication codes secure.
- Opening several accounts to get around limits, prices or a suspension is not allowed and may lead to all of your accounts being closed.
2. Services and setup
- Each service has the resources, location and features described on its product page at the time of your order.
- Some servers are set up automatically; others are set up by our team after payment. The expected setup time is shown on the product page.
- Unless a service is sold as managed, you administer your server yourself, including installing software, applying security updates and configuring firewalls.
- Connection speeds are the maximum a port can deliver. The speed you see also depends on factors outside our network, such as your own internet connection.
- We do not back up your server unless a backup service is included in your plan. Keep your own backups of anything important.
- We may change the plans and prices we offer for new orders. A change applies to an existing service only from its next renewal, and we will tell you by email before it does.
3. Billing and payment
- Prices are in US dollars. Services are paid in advance for the billing cycle you choose (for example monthly, quarterly or yearly).
- You can pay with cryptocurrency through our payment gateways (Plisio and ArionPay) or from your ClientVPS account balance.
- Customers who have completed an optional identity check with our team can also arrange a PayPal or card payment through support. The identity check is never required, and cryptocurrency payments do not need one.
- We issue the renewal invoice 15 days before your service is due and send reminders 15, 7 and 1 day before the due date.
- You are responsible for any taxes, network fees or gateway fees that apply to your payments.
4. Late payment, suspension and cancellation
- If a renewal invoice is not paid by its due date, the service is suspended until the invoice is paid.
- A late fee of 5% of the invoice amount is added to an invoice that is not paid by its due date.
- If the invoice is still unpaid 25 days after its due date, the service and the invoice are cancelled. After cancellation the server and its data may be permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
- Paying the invoice before cancellation restores a suspended service. The renewed period runs from the original due date, not from the day you pay, so a late payment does not move your billing date.
5. Refund policy
- Dedicated servers are not refundable.
- A VPS can be refunded only if it has a technical problem on our side that we cannot fix.
- Services suspended or cancelled for a breach of these Terms are not refunded.
When a refund is approved, it is paid in one of two ways: credited to your ClientVPS account balance, which you can use straight away for any service or invoice, or returned through the payment gateway you paid with (for example Plisio or ArionPay) to your balance at that gateway. We do not refund to bank accounts.
To request a refund, open a support ticket from your client area and include the invoice number.
6. Uptime commitment
We aim to keep each service available 99.9% of the time in every monthly billing cycle. A service is unavailable when it does not respond, or our infrastructure returns errors, for more than 60 consecutive seconds.
If we miss this target, you can claim a credit to your account balance. The credit is the share of that cycle's price equal to the minutes of unavailability divided by the minutes in the cycle.
The following do not count as unavailability: scheduled maintenance announced at least 5 days in advance and lasting no more than one hour per month; problems caused by your own software, configuration or actions; suspension under these Terms; and events outside our reasonable control.
Claim a credit within 14 days of the unavailability by opening a support ticket with the details. Service credits are your only remedy for unavailability.
7. Acceptable use
You may use our services only for lawful purposes. What you host and do must be legal in the country where your server is located, and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you. The following are not allowed on any service, in any location:
- Child sexual abuse material, in any form.
- Malware, phishing, fraud, scams and the theft of passwords or personal data.
- Spam: sending unsolicited bulk email or messages, or hosting or selling tools to do so.
- Attacks on other systems, including denial-of-service attacks, and accessing, scanning or exploiting systems without their owner's permission.
- Collecting personal information about people without their consent.
- Impersonating other people or organisations, including spoofing email or network packet headers.
- Anything that disrupts our network, our servers or other customers.
8. Complaints, legal requests and our right to act
- Complaints about a server are handled under the law of the country where the server is located and under these Terms. A notice sent under another country's law does not by itself oblige us to act.
- We act on orders from a court in the country where your server is located. Automated notices and requests from other countries are not enough on their own.
- We may suspend or cancel a service that breaks these Terms, and we may immediately isolate a server that threatens the security or stability of our network or other customers.
- You agree to cooperate with reasonable investigations into whether a service complies with these Terms.
9. Your content
- You remain the owner of your content and are solely responsible for it. You confirm that you have the rights to all content and trademarks you make available through our services.
- We do not monitor the content of your server, but we may check that a service complies with these Terms when we receive a complaint or detect a problem.
10. Privacy
We collect as little personal data as possible and never ask for identity documents. We keep only the records needed to run and protect your account, such as your email address, invoices and sign-in history. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
11. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- Our services are provided "as is". Apart from the uptime commitment in section 6, we do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits or business, however caused.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the 12 months before the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify ClientVPS against claims, losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your use of our services, your content or your breach of these Terms.
13. Ending the service
- You can cancel a service at any time from your client area. Cancellation takes effect immediately: the service ends at once, and the server and its data are deleted and cannot be restored. Time left in the period you have paid for is not refunded; refunds are only given under section 5.
- A service with an invoice that is due and unpaid, or one suspended for non-payment, can be cancelled once that invoice is paid, or by contacting support.
- We may end a service without cause by giving you 14 days' notice by email. In that case we refund the unused part of the period you paid for to your account balance.
- We may suspend or end a service at once if you break these Terms or do not pay.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. We will tell you about important changes by email before they apply. If you keep using or renew a service after a change applies, you accept the updated Terms.
15. General
- You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else without our written consent.
- These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and ClientVPS about our services.
- If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
